Overview

The project consisted of the alteration and refurbishment of the existing Shankill Shopping Centre retail units, and the extension of the anchor store, including associated siteworks and drainage.

To provide a large anchor tenant unit an extension into the existing service yard was constructed, with the amalgamation of an adjacent vacant public house. A number of internal sub-divisions, and unit enlargements created a spacious Pharmacy and two new smaller retail units. The project also included replacement of the existing roof coverings, reconfiguration of the service yard, and a new new vehicular entrance.

During the course of the project, three existing retail units remained occupied and open to the public, which required careful consideration from both a QS and PSDP perspective.
