Overview
The ‘Confucius Institute for Ireland’ is a modern landmark facility on the campus of University College Dublin, which also accommodates the Irish Institute for Chinese Studies.
The project, financed by UCD, the Irish Government and the People’s Republic of China, is inspired by tradition Chinese Architecture. Complete with a triple height atrium, the building includes many specialist elements such as glazing, stone facades, and services installations.
The new state of the art facility provides for teaching & seminar rooms, 120 student lecture theatre, library exhibition space, distance learning facilities, restaurant, and ancillary areas such as office space for academic staff, administration, and visiting lecturers.
